Apart from these, Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the highest ever goal-scorer for the Portuguese national team and Real Madrid.

2) Lionel Messi

The ‘Golden Boy’ of football, Lionel Messi, is at the second place in the list of the top 3 Champions League goalscorers. The Argentine has scored 112 goals in 135 games.

The all time Argentina and Barcelona top goal scorer, Messi has the joint-most Ballon d’Or awards (5) to his name and is widely considered one of the greatest footballers of all time.

He won Champions League four times and finished as the topscorer on six different occasions.

3) Raul Gonzalez

Real Madrid legend, Raul is at the third place in this list. He has scored 71 goals in 142 games, with the majority of them coming for Real Madrid.

The former Spanish striker was the top scorer in the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 seasons and has won 3 Champions League titles with the Blancos.

Raul Gonzalez was Real Madrid’s top goalscorer in all competitions until Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed his record.
